The UBA in the Top 100 of the best universities in the world
This was announced by the British consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds, which released the results of its prestigious QS Ranking of universities worldwide. The UBA is ranked number 95 and has achieved an outstanding performance by ranking among the top 20 world-renowned universities according to international employers.
We inform that the Secretariat of International Relations will remain closed during the summer holidays and will reopen on Monday, February 1, 2021.

The UBA against the Covid-19: action and prevention measures
In the framework of the Social, Preventive, and Compulsory Isolation, the University of Buenos Aires keeps under the prevention measures against the spread of COVID-19 and the actions to mitigate the effects of the health crisis. Today more than ever, circulation must be reduced in the most affected areas, therefore, our buildings and facilities will remain closed, except for those destined for assistance tasks associated with the pandemic.

UBA highlighted again in the QS Latin American Ranking
According to the QS Latin American ranking, the University of Buenos Aires ranked again in the top 10 as one of the best Latin American universities, climbed to position Nº 8 at a regional level.
UBA highlighted again in the Shanghái Ranking 2018
In a new edition of the Shanghai University Ranking by Subject 2018, the University of Buenos Aires obtained a prominent place in 18 of the analyzed fields, seven more than last year.
UBA has improved its position in the Global Ranking of Universities, consolidating its regional leadership
The University of Buenos Aires has consolidated as the best Ibero-American University for the fourth running year, which reflects a sustained growth within the global elite for the last five years. It is the only public Institution of Higher Education that has received this mention, making it the best Spanish speaking university in the world.
Prof. Dr. Alberto BARBIERI, Rector of the University of Buenos Aires, presided the International Committee of the “IV International Rector's Meeting Universia", which took place in the University of Salamanca on May 21 and 22. In the framework of this meeting, the session of RedEmprendia’s General Assembly and Board of Directors was held, in which Rector BARBIERI was unanimously re-elected as president of the network for a new term.

University of Buenos Aires International Relations Office - New Program on Student and Teacher Mobility
The International Relations Office, through its UBAINT Program, granted 85 scholarships for student mobility in 20 institutions in 12 countries, and 60 scholarships for teaching staff for academic stays in 38 institutions in 17 countries. For 2018 we plan to to increase the former by 200 and the latter by 120.
Alberto Barbieri appointed Chancellor of the University of Buenos Aires for a second term.
With more than 75% of the votes, Alberto Barbieri was re-elected during the University Assembly held on December 4.
